Are We A

Gareth Croft Wedding Videographer

About Us

Your wedding celebrations should last more than just one day. It should be something that you can look back on over and over again reliving the excitement of that special time and passing those memories on for years to come and I can help you create just that.

A picture paints a thousand words but your wedding video will do so much more. If they are anything like mine, your parents probably have many home videos of you growing up as a child, it may be your first trip to the seaside or your primary school nativity.

While a picture can highlight a memory of those special life events, watching the video takes you back there.

I can help you tell your story

Have you heard mine?

For my 18th Birthday I asked my parents for my own camera to make videos and since then I’ve been hooked. I wasn’t very good at first but over the years I learnt how to make pretty good videos and after some encouragement from my friends and family I perfected my passion in college and then university.

I have so many videos I’ve created over the years of family holidays and my children growing up. I know how valuable video is and I believe wedding video is probably one of the best investments you could make for your wedding celebrations.

I still remember rocking up to the church on the day feeling nervous but also very excited that I was going to be filming a once in a lifetime event. The fantastic feeling of filming a wedding has only grown over the years.

I love everything about being a wedding videographer. Capturing the nervous groom, those first looks and of course the dancing parents. I’d feel honoured to capture your wedding day for you to enjoy for years to come.

I’d love to hear about your wedding plans, it’s always a great feeling to be part of the excitement. If you think we might be a good fit then it would be lovely to talk about your wedding film and booking me as your Wedding videographer!

FAQ's

Choosing the right Wedding Videographer takes a lot of research. I've put some of my most common questions below that may help you to find out more about me, my style and what goes into creating your wedding video. If there's anything else you'd like to know then i'm happy to help.

I’ve been filming weddings since 2014! I started filming weddings while studying my film degree and fell in love with it. I’ve learnt alongside some of the best wedding videographers in South Wales. I still remember my first wedding video and how nervous I was but every wedding is so enjoyable. I love a great party!

I try to shoot around 10 – 12 wedding videos each year. Creating a great wedding video takes a lot of time and I want to make your wedding film the very best it can be so I’m careful not to fill my diary for the year. If my diary is full I will try to accommodate you and if I can’t I know some great wedding videographers who I also recommend.

This is a question close to my heart as like most people I feel nervous in front of a camera. Since I started filming weddings it’s always been my approach to understand the nerves people have and adapt my style to accommodate. I use small cameras, I try to blend in on the day and most importantly I try to have fun and make things as relaxed as possible. I want you to remember your day for how great it was and i’ll do everything i can to document your day without you feeling like you’re part of a TV show.

I’ve shot at many venues in South Wales and beyond and have got to know the staff very well at many of them and while the venue will be important my main focus will be on your wedding. Every wedding venue looks lovely and this mixed in with the emotions of your wedding day is what will make a great film. If I have a film of your wedding venue I’m happy to let you see it.

I’ve filmed weddings all over the UK and am really happy to travel anywhere! I’m based in South Wales but love travelling to other parts of the country. For some weddings I may ask you to help with some small travelling or accommodation costs but this will all be outlined before you book with me.

Yes! I film all of my own weddings and don’t contract my work out to other wedding videographers. If you choose my package that includes a second wedding videographer then they will be someone who I trust and have worked with many times before.

Probably! I’ll be working alongside your photographer during your wedding day and my relaxed style of filming works really well with photographers. I’ve worked with many photographers and have never had any issues, in fact when I work with new wedding photographers then we usually become friends after the wedding day.

I can offer drone videography for no additional charge. However the use of a drone is not guaranteed and is subject to permission from your wedding venue and other factors such as the weather and distance from busy roads and of course airports. I will never use my drone to film near you or your wedding guests and use it only to get shots of the venue or surrounding area from a distance.

I don’t charge by the hour and I have no set time restrictions. I generally arrive 2 hours before your ceremony and stay for around half an hour after your first dance which allows me to get some great shots of the wedding party on the dance floor.

Your wedding will be unique to you and so will your wedding video. While some parts of your wedding day may be similar, weddings are never the same and your film will be about you and your story. Your film will be based upon the events on your day but will have the same great quality and storytelling as the films on my website.

I would describe my style as a cinematic documentary style but that may not be much help to you if you’re not a film geek :P. I’ll try to explain. By cinematic, I would mean the shots would all look very nice and well thought out. I will use tools both on the day and in the edit to achieve this with video and audio to achieve this. Documentary means just that really, I will be filming what is actually happening on the day and telling your unique story without intruding and making it look like you’ve been told to do something. Both of these things together are what you see in all of my films.

Smartly Dressed! I’m not the type of person that likes to stand out in a crowd and my style of videography means I make the best videos when I’m blended into the background. On your wedding day I will be looking smart and trying hard to blend into your wedding party.

Exploring! When i’m not filming weddings you will often find me exploring my local area or further afield. I love spending time in West Wales or driving up mountains to take pictures. I’m constantly trying to learn new skills and always trying to make my videos better. My other passion is Theme Parks and Disney. I try to have at least one theme park holiday every year with my friends and family. I also want to be a bodybuilder but that’s not happening any time soon.

To book me to film your wedding I simply ask for a small deposit to secure the date with me and then the remaining amount to be paid one month before your wedding day. I understand you will have a lot of expenses going out so I’m happy to arrange a payment plan if this will help you. Just let me know.
