We Love Welsh Coastal Weddings!
Coastal weddings are some of my favourites to film, I’ve always loved being near the sea. Ocean View Gower is a Gower wedding venue that has the coastal feeling mixed with a unique secluded countryside location.
Weddings At The Gower - South Wales
If you’ve never visited The Gower Peninsular then you really are missing out. It was the UK’s first area of natural beauty! Just a short drive from Swansea and half hour from the M4, the gower is a favourite venue for weddings in South Wales because of the breathtaking views and amazing beaches.
The Gower has a number of fantastic wedding venues and the unique location means your wedding guests can really make a weekend out of your wedding day by staying in the area and taking in some of the amazing surroundings.
Ocean View Gower Wedding Venue
Ocean View Gower is a unique wedding venue, with stunning sea views of the north gower peninsular, the Ocean View Wedding venue is an independent wedding venue based on a working farm.
Wedding Ceremonies can take place in the venues converted milking barn and can cater up to 150 guests while the glass fronted marquee can accommodate up to 250 guests for your wedding ceremony. Ocean View Gower can also provide outdoor wedding ceremonies with a stunning backdrop.
The venue also has accommodation for your guests including onsite cottages and beautiful custom built log cabins which offer a unique way to stay onsite after the wedding party is finished.
You can see some more of the venue in our video above of a recent wedding we filmed at Ocean View Gower
If you are choosing Ocean View Gower as your wedding venue then a visit to Weobley Castle would be a great opportunity for your photo shoot. Just a minutes drive from Ocean View, Weobley Castle sits right on the edge of the Gower Peninsula and overlooks the marshes of the Llwchwr estuary and Llanelli beyond.
Being so close to Ocean View means that your wedding videographer and photographer can take you away for some quick couple shots before returning you to your wedding guests. Be sure to pack some wedding wellies if the weather is bad.
Ocean View Gower Wedding Videographer
Alison and Carl booked me as their Wedding Videographer for their wedding at Ocean View Gower in November 2019. A lovely winter themed wedding the couple chose the location because of their links to the Gower and Llanelli.
The wedding ceremony was held in a church near Swansea but the reception was held in the marquee at Ocean View.
The weather was not on our side for this wedding and it rained heavily for most of the day so sadly the wedding guests couldn’t take advantage of the view but it didn’t dampen spirits. The venue was decorated superbly with winter flowers and candles and the heated marquee was perfect for a large wedding but still offering a cosy intimate feeling.
In the evening the venue looked lovely all lit up with fairy lights and the wedding party danced the night away with the help of the Ocean Views resident DJ and the wonderful Jeris Music 3 piece wedding band.
I was thrilled to be able to be the wedding videographer for Alison and Carl, despite the weather everything turned out wonderfully, you can see the wedding highlights video below.
